Working in schools
As well as teaching privately, I also work closely with primary schools across the border counties of Shropshire and Powys, offering curriculum music support and one to one piano lessons.
I have always valued the opportunity to support schools to improve and develop music provision. The work that I do helps to broaden the musical experiences and opportunities available to young children. It also allows a seamless provision of music tuition across the primary age range and beyond.
I am often able to continue supporting those students who wish to progress further with their music lessons as they transition to secondary school.
Several of my students have gone on to study GCSE and A level music. Others have studied music at degree and post graduate level, leading towards full time careers in music.
